I have always felt like stuff like this is mean to kids. Like I'm sure an adult can easily laugh off someone trying to humiliate them on stage, but kids don't have such a good handle on their emotions. Bringing a child on stage to say "haha I broke something you care about, entertain us all with your reaction!" is so weird, and people do stuff like this all the time
