To be fair. The conversation around gender is convoluted. Either a person is a gender bc they are that gender full stop (a woman is a woman bc shes a woman) or they are that gender bc they fit a cluster characteristics of said gender (if that even exists) . There hasn’t been a meaningful distinction that has made it to the main conversation. You have to ground what is expected so others can’t put words in your mouth about what is expected. There has just genuinely been alot of miscommunication met with bigotry
