All of these instances of the government “giving SpaceX money” was the government paying SpaceX to do missions that NASA couldn’t do or couldn’t cheaper. All of these contracts were open to bidding by any company with the means of completing the the goal, and SpaceX would win those bids due to having much cheaper and more efficient rockets. The government didn’t just give Elon money

only reason NASA invested in SpaceX was cuz it was more promising and cheaper than what they were using at the time. SpaceX saved millions for NASA in reusable rockets

Elon is part of the group that wants to replace human labor with AI and robotics, which is an odd thing for a guy who’s CEO of a car manufacturer. How do you sell enough cars to stay in business if people aren’t working? How do you keep an internet service running when people aren’t making income to pay for it? And since 99% of the country pay federal taxes through income, how is a Government funded space program going to keep launching rockets?

I mean ye your right taxpayers did contribute to musk wealth but it wasant hand outs or America wasant investing in spacex and Tesla out of pity but because they could accomplish something because spacex and Tesla had something special about it. It wasant robbery of hard workers it was investments in a company with a bright future. Remember he doesn’t have trillion in cash or his bank account it’s his assets that make this number and how much investors are willing to buy it for meaning it’s accomplishing something.

yes the taxpayers made him a trillionaire. in his earlier days he made his own wealth until he could hire people to build his wealth(his mother funded his projects too but not his dad) trillionaires shouldnt exist. billionaires shouldnt exist. hot take but millionaires shouldnt exist because we made everything value as a high amount. housing cost was 100k now 600k-1 million. in the earlier days nobody was millionaire. we made the value of it.

spacex make rockets they don't really do space missions they just rent out their rockets to ppl that want to do space stuff which is nasa. without nasa they wouldn't really be that wealthy because how many other ppl or companies actually need those rockets 🤔 nasa can still exist and function without SpaceX
