My Dyson was overheating and I had it for not even two years as well. I was done with buying expensive dryers. I also work at CosmoProf in a lot of stylist would come in saying that a lot of our blow dryers were not meeting their standards or dying quicker so instead of me buying an expensive one, I impulsively bought the Tideway ($65) on Amazon and have loved it ever since. I got it in November.
