WE HAVE HAD CONVERSATIONS ABOUT THIS. My biggest pet peeve. In elementary school at like 5 you are taught how to line up and line etiquette so French people not having this ingrained in them was always so strange. Love the French but this one thing drives me insane

I remember when I was still living in France mostly when I was a kid people were getting into fights sometimes because of this 😭 I hated it! Now that I live in the UK I don’t see it anymore haha. People are really respectful with queuing and I love it 😁

I heard a Portuguese person saying queuing for things is a British colonization thing. They prefer to get to know each other and learn each other’s faces and know who is ahead of you without forming a line. I never thought about it before honestly - coming from a British colony 😅
