You can have a cake and a candle while on vacation to take photos with him, just to have photos as memories about his first birthday. It's probably more fun for all of you to go on a vacation instead of a party where the parents just stress a lot for days and the child doesn't even remember.

as someone who probably had a first birthday party I have never seen a single picture or memory of it lol it literally does not matter and no one else will care to remember later on either. anyone who really gets onto you, as the parents, about a party isn't someone who's opinion you should value anyway.

We don’t do birthday parties, we do celebrations - we celebrate on a trip quite a lot. A birthday party for a baby is about the adults and not in fact the baby. 😅 Have fun on your trip!! 😂

As someone who just hosted a 1 year olds birthday party- my son… take the vacation. It was 3 days ago and I’m still exhausted. I’ve cleaned my house 3 times and I’m still finding sand in the house.
