it’s ok to like the story they went with but guys…. the game has been ongoing for 6 years with many different staff working on it… retcons and rewrites are INEVITABLE 😭 it’s not insane to say large chunks of the fatui story was changed especially when nod krai didn’t even exist in the lore until natlan 💀

The problem is that Genshin refuses to give us playable evil characters; that is, for a character to be playable, they must be good, and if they're evil, they must die. This became clear with Signora's death, especially since many people wanted her to be playable. That's probably why they changed the course of the Fatui storyline—because they can't afford to lose all the money making them playable would bring in. They'll do the same with any character that could generate profit, so there's no doubt that in the future we'll see a Ronova in love with the Traveler and an Istharoth support character as good as Columbina…

the people in this fandom are so dumb they don’t realize genshin story isn’t a real story but a piece of media, and should be analyzed as such. voicelines about unreleased characters has always been a way to tease them for genshin, to give us some information about them in advance. Fatui voicelines and teasers has been shaping our perception of characters like Sandrone and Columbina for years, Genshin knows this. and the impressions were never the same as the ones we have right now, Genshin itself said they decided to add Nod-Krai last minute idk why ppl still think it wasn’t rewritten.
