One of my all time favs!! Lovely to finally hear your opinion on it!!💘💘 Have you ‘collected poems’ and ‘the unabridged journals’ by Plath? Her poems are even better than the Bell jar in my opinion and the unabridged journals are similar to the bell jar just more personal/vulnerable in my opinion! 💘💘💘

This is one of my favorite books of all time, one of that made me related to the character the most. It’s also one of the books I always recommend w a grain of salt. I think because it’s so well written, the relatability can become kinda dicey, so I always say to read when you’re well

I don’t know if this is certain to others but to me The bell jar is a memoir, when Esther underwent electric shock therapy i kind of knew, it is also obvious when you read Sylvia’s journals, they’re so much alike.
