Have been on cholestyramine, but it is sometimes too strong. Metamucil works and tastes better for me.

I finally went to a GI doctor after dealing with the bile diarrhea for years. Now I’m on Colestipol and Metamucil and haven’t had to take Imodium in ages.

Surgeons should warn people that the medications prescribed for chronic diarrhea come with side effects. A low fat diet isn’t always ideal either. You should just say “I’m taking it out, and you’ll either have diarrhea forever or you can’t eat your favorite foods. Sorry”
