Okay so hear me out, I feel the same in that I don’t know what I’m going to need until I need it, and it’s hard to commit to a planner system for a full year. The Sterling ink complete planner has really been working for me so far. You have the weekly spread and then a week worth of daily pages that I use for daily journaling. The b6 size really works for that. Then each week there is one or two blank pages that I then use for whatever tracking/planning/lists I need for that week. Something about having one or two pages that don’t have to fit into any standard template really works for what I need in the moment. And I love that I’m not flipping back and forth because it’s all chronological. And if I don’t need to track or plan something on that page, then I force myself to come up with a journal prompt or review the month or journal about therapy. It’s forcing me to do a little reflection occasionally in a way that really works for me.

try the Muji planner. it's similar with the red one you are using but not tall and slim. Don't feel bad for trying different planners, you are trying to find what works best for you.

Undated planners, bullet journaling, and dialing back to the absolute basics saved me. I feel less bound to the notebooks because it’s not time-bound and I’m not feeling guilty for letting weeks or even months go by without using it. Also releasing guilt and finding ways to repurpose, reuse, or give away what you already have.

OK, never ever ever feel bad about yourself for buying too many planners that you never use. Because that is the majority of us out here in this planning and journaling world. You are just one of the bright ones who admits it in front of everybody so kudos to you for that. Let me tell you why we buy so many planners and we end up not using them. This is it, are you ready? It is because deep down we are looking for Planner peace. There are so many options out there that we want to try them all because we believe that way we try as many as we can. We will find the one that we will stick to and not have to buy so many one day. But that’s the lie, because we will never ever finish trying new planners. There are hundreds of them out there. Hundreds of brands in styles and formats. So that’s the reality. We might just have to come to terms with that or tell ourselves one day we will not buy more planners no matter what. Those are your two choices. You’re welcome.

I use old planners and notebooks for junk journals! I’ll just create collages or art right over the pages that way it makes use of am old notebook/journal/planner that doesn’t serve me anymore!

You can always use the out dated ones by re dating them or just using them as a memory keep or junk journal. So don’t stress about being “wasteful” 💕

I went through and shredded all my pages. I realized I don’t want to carry the weight of old thoughts and worries. I’ve developed a four notebook ecosystem and I plan to go through frequently and purge those too. Everything is energy.

Weekly never works for me because I don’t do much during the week except sleep and work. 😂 I like the idea of a memory notebook so I can go to it when I do something out of the sleep/work routine.

I love how you’re a positive person when talking about products. You referred to the notebook as being “A little too precious for you!” 😂 Never would have thought to say it in that way! I am adding that expression to my vocabulary. 😂😂😂

I feel better about how many I have went through. I went back to Happy Planner where I can frankenplan. I need everything in one place. Im not crazy about the aesthetic. It’s to colorful for me. I do like the aesthetic of cloth and paper disc bound but before i buy that I gotta see if happy planner works.

I feel you, but I figured out a system for myself that works 1- hobonichi cousin - daily memory keeping, hobonichi weeks - mental + physics health + habit tracker, hobonichi weeks ( second ) - my son’s daily highlights + symptoms. Paper republic I own 7 and each have thier own purpose. I hope you figure your system out ♥️
