I believe it was partly changing game engines and also the 2011 earthquake that happened in Japan that caused such a delay in P5. Hopefully P6 doesn't get caught in development hell.

The P6 leaks said the game is nearly done and that we could potentially get it late 2027. The logo in the trailer was the same from the leaks, so I’m not worrying

the difference is now Atlus answers to Sega because Sega is their publisher which means they have set deadlines to meet and announce windows on average have shortened to between 6-12 months. So yeah that won't be happening this time.

Oh you forgot the scheduled update/remake though persona 6 HAS to get one of those.I mean even re fantazio is getting one.Have fun waiting like 7 years to get a complete version of the game that's fully updated. Oh..same happened with SMT 5 too just saying.

Reliable leaks have it skated for fall if next year. Same leaks that revealed its existence and the p4r release date. Atlus has fixed things since P5. From announcement to release 18 months seems to be the max
