That’s because gravity is dependent on the mass of a given object. In the diagram there is a circle which highlight GM/r^2 which represents the gravitational acceleration on a given object (such as the sun). If you were to compare the mass of the sun (1.9891 × 10^30 kg) to the mass of Jupiter (1.898 × 10²⁷ kg) you’ll notice that the sun is quite a lot larger than Jupiter. Hence, the gravitational force acting on the earth, where earth is m and not M (capitol M would be either the sun or Jupiter) you’ll see that the the force acting on the earth from the sun is greater than the forced acting on the earth from Jupiter, and since we know all of the other planets in the solar system are smaller than Jupiter we can cancel them out too. Additionally radius (or in current terms distance) also plays a part in this, which is why the moon orbits the earth instead of the sun, since the distances between moon and the earth versus moon and the sun are very different if you couldn’t tell.
