The movies were always cringe and corny, but the music and choreography were always banger. To this day, I still listen to the descendants songs almost on a daily basis. As addicting as some phrases from the newer songs are, I could never listen to them on the regular or even sing along to them because from my opinion, they are a lot more cringe and corny than the first three movies

people that are defending this don’t realise that it’s lowk disrespectful towards cameron since they’re making these movies to keep up their image and get more money. It’s SO obvious that they have the money but simply don’t want to put into set decorations and better choreographers and script writers. They literally paid Brandy (Chloe’s mom) more than a million to play cinderella which was a big part of their budget .. they only care about getting money and hiring big hit actors so more people will watch it instead of actually making a decent movie

That's when producers and their team cared more about a passion, rather than a product. Even the costumes were more thought out and the songs? They moved the story, now it's just explanation for the short attention span viewers
