My nerds keep reading 🤓⬇️ This drill has been a helpful for my clients working on their first ever wall handstand, and build the body awareness in getting the hips over the shoulders. The wall gives you immediate feedback on whether your hips are over your shoulders or not, and it works differently depending on your body: Clients with more shoulder mobility: You’ll be able to lean into the wall, which reduces the load and strength needed in your shoulders to stack your hips over your shoulders. Clients with tight closed shoulders: can use the wall as a target to keep pressing out and stretching through the shoulders to get the hips over the shoulders. Can you get shoulders + hips on the wall easily but can’t hold it away from the wall? → You need more shoulder strength. Homework: scap push-ups and pike holds on box 💪 Can’t get your hips close to the wall even with your shoulders resting on it? → You need more shoulder mobility.
