Yeah, so this time I took her at her word...or rather actions...and I walked away. She ghosted me after 2 years together and a great weekend together. This time I didn't ask, I didn't chase, I let it go. 5 MONTHS later she reached out. Not with an apology or explanation, just kind of an emotional dump and a twist of words sounding like I was the one who left. Honestly it was HARD not to reply. But I had grown enough by then to know that responding would be the most unhealthy thing to do. It would reinforce her pattern and get me stuck again. It's been over a year now, I'm in an incredibly healthy, beautiful new relationship, but I still feel guilty for not letting her back in . The damage of this dynamic runs DEEP.
