It completely blows my mind that Elon could give $1 million to each adult in the US (which would stimulate economy, massively) and provide the entire country with healthcare and still be the richest man in the world, but won’t. Like, why wouldn’t you?

💯%! A certain billionaire said if he was given a number of what it would cost to end worldwide hunger he would do it. He was given the number and chose to do nothing. This billionaire proceeded to exacerbate the problem and made sure that millions of dollars of high energy meal replacement biscuits that had already been bought and paid for by Americans tax payers, to feed the most food insecure people on the planet, and they were burned instead of being used by the global hungry.

Fun fact - a big part of the reason why people are quitting teaching is because the amount of education you have to have in order to do the job is not proportionate to the pay scale. If Mr. Trillionaire would contribute some of that money towards paying an equitable wage for educators in a country where he has reaped the benefits of his wealth to an enormous degree, that really might help.
