The term matriarchy remains epistemically colonized—it is coined within patriarchal discourse and thus structurally constrained to function merely as patriarchy's specular inversion. The binary opposition it implies (matriarchy vs. patriarchy) replicates the very logic of domination it ostensibly resists. Matrilineal social organization, by contrast, is not a utopian projection but an anthropologically attested baseline; the task is not invention but recognition. Liberation is not deferred to a revolutionary horizon—it is instantiated through present pedagogical and relational practice.

Every system in its extreme has a moment it becomes problematic. Can you see the boundaries of matriarchy/ egalitarianism where it becomes a problem? No system is ideal, but has in its best an optimum I think. What do you think? So isn’t maybe a good idea to combine the two (vertical and horizontal) and form a polarity on which we can move as society, to behold flexibility and react with what is necessary?

I love what you’re saying and I wanna add that I think from my study of anthropology I remember there are current matriarchies that are still in existence or were in the 90s when I was studying at least somewhere in China where they have something called walking marriages I forget the name of the people
