Glasgows metro system is actually very good, it’s the city with the densest collection of rail stations in the UK outwith London, you can get anywhere by train/subway very quickly

Glasgow subway isn't ment to be a suburbs to city it's a city loop train we have ScotRail to get from suburban to center

a dont see the glesga subway rightfully expanding beyond the loop until theres an actual combined sense of a greater glasgow i.e. combining councils, a mayor in the style of Manchester and such. the differences a 15 minute drive from Central to Baillieston and futher out to uddi is way to extreme for any sort of effort for true "greater" glasgow

tbf almost anything you would really need to get to in Glasgow is within walking distance of the subway, Glasgow is a very small city

Calling the Glasgow Subway is an overexaggeration. Sure it's never expanded or had massive changes but it's never really needed it aside from modernisation. (Disrespect to the new subway trains 🤮) it honestly is quite convinient for people who live in the Inner City to get to the Centre quickly. If not that then you have Scotrail. Might just be engagementbait because I do not see a good argument on why the Glasgow Subway is a "failure" it gets the job done and for 30 years got it done right.

Glasgow's subway works great for what it is, there's overground rail links to get further out but when I lived in town the subway was perfect for hitting everywhere I needed to go in the city centre efficiently 🤷🏻♂️
