Great video and tips. I have one for you which may help others, I removed silicone as you did with a scraper, however, i sprayed some WD40 on it which helped loads when removing the stubborn remnants!!

for the bottom strip plastic runner, instead replace it with 3M jointed silicone roll which has self adhesive on it. Cost of roll saves you about 60%, is easily replaced and more flexible ensuring water run off.

Don’t forget to rinse off and wipe up any remaining silicone remover before applying the fresh stuff!

Should recommend CT1 silicone remover spray. Makes it an absolute doddle 👍

I always use a silicone removal gel. paint it on leave it. it comes away so easily.

It all needs cleaning then drying before you re-seal with new silicone
