I believe the Bible is intentionally impossible to comprehend without revelation from the Spirit. What God truly desires is for us to return His love and spend time with Him. Hoses 6:6 "For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings." In this day and age, anyone that takes time out of their day to talk to Him, I'm sure makes His day. Most people are too busy to do that, or don't care to. 2nd Peter 1:20 "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation." .meaning only God can correctly interpret it, not the vain thoughts of man. So, to me, it makes sense that He would set it up to where you had to ask Him for clarity to understand it. This is why supposed scholars can study in man's institutions for decades and still not know "come here" from "sic em".

I always pray before I read that the Holy Spirit would reveal something new each time I read (re-read) and scripture is so layered. The same verse can mean 10 different things in each phase of growth. 🥰

It’s not so hard to understand. God uses the simple to confound the wise. The wise try to read it w their wisdom and not His. You need the Holy Spirit to reveal things not heard knowledge or you’ve already failed.

I felt the Holy Spirit encase me—not to say you're wrong, but I'm learning the entire Bible from Genesis to the Book of Revelation. I only skipped Chronicles and will come back to it later. When I heard the stories of Abraham, Moses, Noah, and Job, I was overjoyed to hear of men who were righteous. Still, there is no comparison to Jesus Christ, who was the Son of the Father and the Father manifest in the flesh. We are also all under the New Covenant; there is no longer a need for a burnt offering to repent. Jesus paid it all. Jesus was more than enough, and by faith alone in Jesus Christ, we are saved. We keep the commandments and love our neighbor (which means everyone), but love God above all else. Praise Jesus Christ and Yahweh. Amen. 🙏❤️"
