@brianleeceramics: I have previously learnt how to make piss glaze in a traditional way from a master from Jingdezhen. All I needed was fermented urine, porcelain stone, grass/wood ash. However, I have heard that you can also add bone ash and limestone for various results. So I have decided to make the piss glaze and try them out myself. However, I had to wait for almost a month to let the urine ferment, which was a long process. After the wait however, I could finally scent the ammonia which is a good sign. Traditionally, they used the fermented urine because it acted as a type of flux, plus some tiny but of metal components inside of it could give iconic colours. The colour and texture also depend on which type of porcelain stone you use. For example, some might contain more iron or other minerals than others. However, mine turned out to be warm egg shells colour. Surprisingly it is kind of giving off ancient ceramics vibe.
