@jaazzmary: If you live with Hidradenitis Suppurativa, you know the anxiety that can come with leaving your home during an active flare. The unpredictability of drainage. The discomfort of a bandage coming loose. The fear of leaving stains behind. 😖 This weekend at the AHSID #IReclaimHS2026 I walked into the bathroom and found something I’ve never experienced before: flare care supplies readily available for HS patients. It may seem like a small detail, but for those of us living with HS, it was a reminder that our experiences were considered. That someone understood the realities of this disease and planned for them. I even discovered a new bandage brand - Mepilex that has a silicone border and it was so comfortable and breathable, I ordered it immediately! 👏🏾 For years, HS made me feel isolated and misunderstood, but moments like this remind me how much intentionality matters. Being in a space where the realities of living with #HidradenitisSuppurativa were acknowledged and accommodated made me feel seen, supported, and understood in a way that's far too rare for our community.
