Moccasin Bend Golf Course Review ⛳️ Chattanooga, TN Course Details 18 Holes | Public Par 72 | ~6,400–6,500 Yards Slope: ~120 | Rating: ~70 Overall Take Moccasin Bend is one of the more underrated public courses in Chattanooga. It’s a solid track with a good mix of challenge and playability, and the scenery out there with the river and Lookout Mountain is tough to beat. Good balance of fun and challenge. Greens have some issues but when they come back they will have the best in Chattanooga. Practice Area Good setup. Driving range and putting green. Plenty of space to get loose before your round. Layout Fun layout with a little bit of everything. • Water comes into play on 1 hole. • open with a couple of tree lined holes but they won’t get you into trouble. • Flat overall, can be a driver wedge round. You don’t have to hit driver everywhere but you can. Conditions • Greens: The greens that are playable are great. There are a couple that are healing so Temp greens are in their place. So if you don’t want to out off of tight cut fairways this isn’t the place for you. Right now anyway. • Fairways: Typically in good shape and very playable. • Tee Boxes: Solid on multiple holes. There are some that are in bad shape. I will say they come in spots where there isn’t a lot of sun so it’s hard to grow. • Bunkers: Standard sand bunkers, usually in decent shape. Value 💰 One of the better values in Chattanooga. You can typically play 18 with a cart in the $38–$43 range depending on the day. I walked during my round and it was $23 for 18. Who It’s For Beginner to intermediate players will enjoy it the most, but it still gives better players enough to think about. It’s fair, playable, and a great place to work on your game. If you’re looking for a solid public track in Chattanooga with good scenery and a layout that keeps you engaged, Moccasin Bend is definitely worth a round.
