@tradprincess: Part one of my send of the 25ft long CrackWhore (12b) last week. I’ve never liked that name, I feel like there had to be a more punk way to go with it. But there’s no accounting for taste. I cut the video at the Crackhead hole rest because otherwise it would be way too long. Part two of the crux and exit tomorrow. The first time I went out to this climb was sometime around 2017 or 2018. I pulled a hold off, we bailed, and I never made it back. Then Patrick and Nicole Kingsbury aka @arizona_mountaineering_gear mentioned it recently while visiting and it ended up back on my radar. Sending it first go this session felt pretty special. Not because it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but because I remember when it felt too icky to do. Too chossy, too committing, too tall to go for with my abilities at the time. Now it’s something I can do first go, even with a healthy amount of fear of the exit(not pictured here) rattling around in my head. Also it helps that Pat is an exceptional spotter. Progress is weird. Sometimes you don’t notice it until you revisit an old chapter. 1/2
