100% agree on learning from other mediums. I am writing a book but oddly enough, I don’t really read novels much. Nothing against them, just not my preferred medium. A book, however, is the only medium that really makes sense for the story I want to tell, so that’s what I’m doing. Most of my writing ideas, though, are coming from other mediums because I just haven’t consumed enough novels to be inspired by them. The book, as a result, is weird, but I think quite unique. Hopefully in a good way.
