Yellow spot has to be big! Has to be heavier than it looks which means more water, and tap it with you hand. If it vibrates a bit after you do that, it’s good!

You need one with a yellow spot on the end and make sure it is round and not oval. I have had great luck getting them from Sam's.

You want to pick the one with the largest, most yellow field spot. This means it had more time to ripen. I look for the best field spot and then knock on it and look for one that sounds hollow.
