This is why Canada is great. Labor laws state that if you give your notice of 2 weeks and if you already have scheduled shifts, if they remove any of them it’s considered termination and your able to get severance

I gave a 2 week notice. One day later a meeting with HR and my manager and told I was no longer a benefit to the company and I could finish my day out but I was being let go. 😂 I logged out immediately after. Employers do not care and so neither will I.

our boss use to let people go the same day they gave notice. Guess who stopped getting 2 week notices. All the employees would know someone was leaving but NO ONE told management.

I only gave a notice at my last job because they were GREAT, if I wasn’t moving I would’ve stayed, I told them 6 months oit and gave an official written notice a month out, they had me train my replacements and got me a cake and card on my last day, 10/10 management

I gave a two weeks notice at my FAST FOOD job. Most people don’t do that for a fast food area, but I loved the people I was working with and didn’t want to make it harder for them to just immediately leave. I wasn’t getting any hours before I put it in(I was asking for 30-40 hours with full availability but they were giving me 13 hours a week) I couldn’t even pay for my car insurance. They gave me 12 hours total for the first week and took me completely off the scheduling app for that last week.
