It’s important to clarify that he said the PERSONAL blessings of the sealing remain in effect. In other words, the opportunity to achieve the maximum state of glory someone can achieve by entering into that covenant if he or she remains faithful. In the end, temple marriage will never destroy your agency; you will always be able to choose, here or even after Judgment Day, if you want to stay or not. It’s complicated, I know, but it’s even more complicated to first achieve that stage of glory where temple sealing matters.

My mother was sealed to my stepfather, his son wanted his mother sealed to sealed to his father. My mother didn’t want to share🫩 she always said she still loved my biological father, but his alcoholism kept her away so I went to the temple and had her sealed to him. I’m going to let it work itself in the end.
