23 Jan 2025 *Rehoboth: A Place of God’s Provision* “For I will drive out nations before you and enlarge your territory.”- Exodus 34:24 At times, we may face unjust situations where people contend with us, act unfairly, or try to discourage us. In those moments, it’s easy to feel defeated and question how the world values us. But as children of God, we are called to persevere, even when others oppose or quarrel with us. This reminds us of Isaac’s story in Gerar (Genesis 26:17-22). He reopened the wells his father Abraham had dug, but the herdsmen argued with him and claimed them. Twice, they fought with him, but Isaac didn’t give up. He moved on and dug another well. The third time, no one argued, and he named it Rehoboth, saying, “Now the Lord has made room for us, and we will be fruitful” (Genesis 26:22). Isaac’s patience and faith in God helped him keep going, even when he was discouraged. He trusted God to lead him to a place of blessing where no one could stop him. In the same way, we may face struggles, but God has a Rehoboth for us—a place where His blessings flow freely and without trouble. Keep your faith.
