Fix clenching pain! If you saw yesterday’s video, you know jaw clenching commonly overloads three key muscles that can trigger jaw pain, headaches, facial tension, and TMJ discomfort. 💡 What’s happening? When you clench, these muscles and their tendons become irritated and sensitive. Using cold can help reduce pain while making it easier to release the tissues. 🔥 Why this matters The temporalis, masseter, and medial pterygoid are all powerful jaw-closing muscles. If they stay tight, they continue pulling on the jaw and surrounding tissues, creating pain and tension. 🛠️ Clenching relief routine 1.) Medial pterygoid Use a frozen Q-tip to release the muscle inside the back of the jaw for 30 seconds. 2.) Temporalis Work behind the molars where the temporalis tendon attaches for 30 seconds. 3.) Masseter Release the inside of the cheek and any tender spots for 30 seconds.
