I took my 9 year old swimming on Saturday. I brought us 2 towels, one bottle of sunscreen that I have no idea how old it is and one bottle of Gatorade for us to share and I was in the pool with him the whole time.

This guy is on to something. Not everything has to be a complicated, perfectly practiced production. Kids don’t care about the water bottles, color of the towels. They care Dad (or mom/whoever) is there an engaged. Just like home kids don’t care if it’s perfect. They care it’s safe and loving. Don’t make it too complicated, you’re only stressing yourself out.
