The Chinese food in Mexico is super authentic; It forced me to learn the difference between Chinese-American food and real Chinese food. There is almost always a section in grocery stores dedicated to east Asian ingredients.

We have a big community of Mexican Chinese. Mostly North and Center. There is a city Mexicali, and there is a saying that “if you visit Mexicali and don’t eat Chinese food you didn’t go to Mexicali”

There’s actually a whole diaspora of Chinese Mexicans in Mexico! My aunt’s grandfather immigrated to Mexico from China, and there are countless others of Chinese people that immigrated to Mexico and settled down there!

Chinese people have circumnavigated the world 😂 you’ll find Malatang in my small polish village or literally anywhere. A lot of Chinese businesses in Mexico avoiding tariffs there

A few people have been inmigrating and opening chinese restaurants all around the country. The one near me it qad a couple and they barely spoke spanish when they arrived. Its been a few years, place still popping, and wife is fluent now.
