And now the LORD says, He who formed me from the womb to be His servant, to bring Jacob back to Him; and that Israel might be gathered to Him— for I am honored in the eyes of the LORD, and my God has become my strength— — Isaiah 49:5. So who is who in this verse? Who is the servant? Who is Jacob? The nation of Israel? It makes no sense that the nation will bring the nation again so that the nation goes back to God.

Nothing in the Hebrew Scriptures says anything about Jesus or his life. Any supposed reference is read into the text years after the fact

A Slice Of My Life :
After decades in the right wing evangelical sphere, I reached the point years ago at which I see the entirety of the OT as a treatise on how God could not teach man through the law, necessitating Jesus. The OT has some nice stories and one can learn a lot about human nature and the nature of God as perceived through ancient eyes and perceptions, but as a predictive or prophetic document for modern times? No. Not any more so than the Beast in revelations having meaning to modern times.
