I started estrogen (estradiol) about a year ago (didn’t know there was a spray, how cool!!!). When I tell you that it was like wow, is this what life was supposed to feel like? You mean I get longer than eight freaking days a month? Omfg even thinking about it now makes me feel sick, like we are all just out here getting 80 good days out of the year. So happy pmdd and the treatments for it are improving

It’s a lifesaver for me, but I was prescribed it for severe ADHD. It’s not only used for menopause, as some people in the comments are suggesting. I’m only 22. People with PMDD can also benefit from Lenzetto, along with many other groups.

Taking estrogen alone (without the balancing progesterone) if you still have a uterus is dangerous. Estrogen causes the endometrium (the lining of the uterus) to grow; without progesterone to slow it down and shed the lining (during your period), the risk of developing uterine cancer increases dramatically. Combination pills contain both for this very reason.

Here in Spain, they only give HRT to trans....I'm 48 and have been BEGGING for HRT for 4 years. Apparently I can't have it because menopause is normal and I have to just suck it up. I am SO done.
