Once during a (positive) performance review, my bosses/the owners told me that they were a little scared because I was their best employee but I was “hard to read.” I just said, “Hm,” and took a sip of my water and then waited for them to continue. It was the most powerful I’ve ever felt. 😂

the CEO of the billion dollar construction company I work at walks past my office every morning, so naturally we have made small talk a couple of times. so now at large events if we bump into each other he says hi and we chat quickly... which freaks out everyone around me and I have to explain the above so they don't think I'm someone's kid 🤣
