When I lost my uncle all I could eat was a blt. That was the only thing that didn’t make me nauseous during that time period. Now I associate blts with grief and feel my body go through that response. But on the positive side I did learn how to make a good blt

I had a sort of similar experience.. when my husband died all I could stomach was Bob Evan’s mashed potatoes. Now if I see them in the store, I’ll feel physically ill. My brain associates it with the terrible experience, but luckily I don’t care if I ever eat mashed potatoes again lol
