I dunno I’ve had it for 21 years and only recently found out about eye issues that can happen if your A1C dips fast (usually associated with pregnancy) so as much as I don’t want to be inundated, I don’t want to be in the dark either!

We also need to stop telling scary details to children. An eye doctor told me if I didn’t care for my diabetes better I’d have to get needles in my eyes. I WAS UNDER THE AGE OF 10

We hear it but we don’t necessarily complement it. T1 diabetic misdiagnosed as a T2 with peripheral ALS autonomic neuropathy, kidney disease and an amputation of the left leg above the knee.

My favorite thing is when I eat a dessert and people freak out because I am eating something sweet. Umm, that’s why I take insulin. They do mean well, it just gets old hearing it all the time.
