Hair shedding after gastric sleeve surgery is actually very common and usually happens due to the body going through major change, rapid weight loss, and possible nutrient deficiencies (especially protein and iron). The good news is that it’s generally temporary and will self-correct once the underlying cause is addressed. It’s worth starting with a blood test to identify any nutritional deficiencies that may be occurring. Just a note that the general health reference range for vitamins and minerals is much lower than that of hair. For example for Ferritin (stored iron) the general health range is 20-150 however for healthy hair growth it needs to be at 80+. Just a tip. Use the mouthwash first because if you use it after brushing it washed away the fluoride from the toothpaste. ( dentist told me this so don’t come at me people)
