You should watch this film called Hichki (2018). It’s an Indian film about a woman with Tourette’s who wants to be a teacher. Not sure how good representation it is but I’d be interested to hear your opinion.

there was a maths teacher at the secondary school I went to with tourettes. I hope he knows about the second film. I don't have tourettes but I have tics. and for some reason I struggle with feeling like I'm making it up (even though I tic when I'm on my own) because of how when I think about it, I tic more. and I CAN repress them (ish?). it's just not the most comfy thing. I struggle with a lot of self doubt and it's not a great feeling. I wonder if anyone else relates? I don't know why I get tics. probably my anxiety or neurodivergence to blame. I don't tic a whole lot and they're not every day or super varied which I believe means I don't have tourettes, just tics I guess.

The Road within is one of my favourite movies, mainly because I relate to all 3 of the main characters.. I have Tourette’s and OCD, and have struggled with eating disorders throughout my life too! I also love Alex being a queer character too! (Also, Robert Sheehan is just one of my favourite actors lol)

I didn't even know there was many films about tourettes (I only knew the 'I swear') And now this video makes me want to watch them!(: I love to see more representations in films because they spread awareness. Im still undiagnosed so seeing more representations makes me smile, because I relate so much to them

I have never watched Phoebe in wonderland but I would like to! I have a long history with severe OCD so whenever I see things that mention and explore it I feel very emotional, especially to see a young girl navigating whats going on and how it impacts the family :(

I was honestly so pleased at front of the class. As an actor that doesn’t have Tourette’s, he did it very well where it didn’t feel offensive and I definitely teared up in all the moments i could relate to
