For many young people, social media is how they stay connected with friends, find support, communities, express themselves and access mental health resources. Taking that away could increase loneliness and isolation for some teenagers, especially those who struggle socially or have difficult situations at home. Instead of an outright ban, why not focus on better online safety, stronger moderation, and digital education?
