Rouge Chaotique was my first Byredo scent and first from the Night Veil collection. It’s deep resinous saffron and citrus mixed with plum in the opening kind of reminds me of a spicy blood orange. It’s blended to well that you smell the top and mid notes throughout the dry down. The Oud isn’t too over bearing because its balanced out by the sweetness of the Praline and Plum. Furthermore the oak wood and patchouli give the almost aged wine barrel feeling without there being a rum or wine note. This by no means is wearable in warm weather(unless you are into that strong scents in the summer thing). At best a cool spring night /rainy day. But I’d leave it for the fall and winter to fully appreciate this masterpiece. #byredo #fragrancetok #oud #scents
