Add the flour and mix, then add the salt and fold the dough several times until smooth. Cover and let rise for 2 hours. 2. On a lightly floured surface, divide the dough into 5 pieces. Roll each piece into a ball, cover, and let rest for 10 minutes. Make a hole in the center of each ball to form bagels, place them on parchment paper, cover, and let rest for 15 minutes. 3. Bring a pot of water to a gentle boil. Add 1 tsp sugar and 1 tsp baking soda. Boil each bagel for about 30 seconds per side, then transfer to a parchment-lined baking tray. 4. Okay this drives me crazy! After water bath how do you bake them without sticking to the damn parchment paper???? Literally every time I do it they’re cemented onto the paper. Last time I sprayed the paper with a little olive oil and that helped but they felt more steamed than baked if that makes any sense. Help!

If you leave out the water…would the recipe work??? By definition That which enters into a compound, or is a component part of any combination, recipe, or mixture; an element; a constituent is considered an ingredient. So that means 5 ingredients to make this recipe is needed. 🙂
