@seed2spoon: The kids wanted potatoes with dinner last night, so we headed out to the garden and harvested some! 🥔 We dumped one of our @smartpots with potatoes growing into our garden cart and let the kids dig through the soil looking for potatoes. It quickly turned into an Easter egg hunt as they searched for every last one. They had so much fun! Most of what we harvested were Austrian Crescent fingerling potatoes, which are one of my favorites from @parkseedco . They’re incredibly tasty, easy to clean, and the perfect size for roasting, frying, or mashing. We even found a few Purple Majesty potatoes mixed in too - which I guess is what happens when kids help with planting! 😂 Then came the washing station. Our two-year-old immediately tried to grab the hose, but Dad was pretty quick to shut that idea down. If you saw yesterday’s video, you already know exactly why… let’s just say we recently learned that he likes to water people too! 💦😂 After harvesting, we washed them up, brought them inside, and enjoyed them with dinner that same night. It doesn’t get much better than harvesting food with your kids and then sitting down together to eat it!
