I don’t know I always keep my handicap placard in the car. I also have my identification in case anybody’s question it, but I don’t think anybody will question whether you needed it or not.

In Florida, they still use the placards, but there’s also a license plate that you have that says that it’s your handicapped in case you don’t have your placard

Technically you aren't supposed to. I've gotten in a rush and forgotten to hang my placard. When that happens I know there is a risk that I will get a ticket. I personally would not park there knowing I didn't have my placard with me.

i park in the regular spots and try not to take the accessible spots in general if they're super limited/I'm able to be further. the cars with ramps need them more than I do

I use the handicap spot and carry the card from the DMV in the glove box which will prove I have a card.

I try to only use the handicap spot on days when my conditions are flared up. I also have scooters in my trunk, so if a handicap spot isn’t available, I still have options. But I’d never take a handicap spot without my tag on the off chance I get a ticket, I don’t need the headache of fighting it.

I have 1 for my son. If i forget it we don’t park in handicap because i don’t want the $250 ticket. That sometimes means parking at the end of the lot so i have enough room to get his chair out.

it really depends on other spots available. 4-5 stalls in, I’ll use a regular spot. 10+, I’d just the handicap spot to get to the motorized cart in store
