He made the beautiful Dwaraka to live with mata Rukmini. Like earlier Narayana creat Vaikuntha for mata Lakshmi. Visvakarma built a palace for Sri Krsna at the instance of Indra. The highest Dom of it covered with gold. So this Dome dazzled as the peak of Mahameru. It was this dome that was set apart for his beloved wife Rukmini by Sri Krsna. ~Skanda Purana According to the Padma Purana, the creation and destruction of the universe depend on the closing and opening of Mata Lakshmi's eyes. Just as the universe and everything in it depend entirely on a single glance of Mata Lakshmi, so too does Dwaraka and everything in it depend entirely on a single glance of Mata Rukmini. It is said that all Yaduvanshis and Dwarakas always remain prosperous by receiving the divine gaze of Mata Rukmini. There was no adharma, poverty, or suffering in Dvaraka, because the union of Lord Krishna and Goddess Rukmini granted Dvaraka the four Purusharthas: Dharma, Artha, Kama, and Moksha. Those who saw Rukmini, who appeared like golden vines around the kalpavrksha, attained all four Purusharthas, says Desika. The inhabitants of Dvaraka attained all four Purusharthas—dharma, artha, kama, and moksha—simultaneously, a rare achievement elsewhere.
