small tip that may make a huge difference, try to get everyone into the routine of giving their plate/bowl a good rinse and putting it into the dishwasher after everything they eat. You don’t have to worry about kids hand washing and getting the dishes perfectly clean, but they are capable of giving their dish the rinse it needs before being placed in the washer and then you’ll never have piles of plates in the sink with old food hardened

Oh, you do not have to rinse off your dishes before you put them in the dishwasher. That’s what the detergent is is made to do. So take that right off your list. I got it right from laundrytok!

I absolutely organize my dishes, all the plates, all the bowls, all the silverware, and then I usually put everything in the dishwasher by groups, knives, fork, spoons, and then all the cups and then all the plates and bowls.
