is this hyper independence? i enjoy being alone. i feel like no matter how comfortable i am being with my partner means i have to perform. i’ll never get a chance to enjoy my alone time in complete peace if my hobbies become his hobbies. let me have that.

I understand what you were trying to convey. It’s not just this specific scenario. It’s about that person not wanting to do ANYTHING as a couple, not even things they normally like doing. I bet if his friends asked, he’d say yes.

I'd rather talk about my ride than bring someone along who doesn't vibe. and it's okay for my romantic partner to not vibe with my hobbies. stop trying to force yourself to enjoy what i enjoy when you really don't. conversely when we both like it. enjoying it separately and comparing notes makes for great conversation

running is sth I never plan to do with anyone. Im busy focused on breath control and right tempo, that's like my meditation ritual. If my SO wanted to join ill let them if they are at least in 500m distance from me 😐
