I have a loved one in prison whoās trying hard to change but has a hard time doing it alone in there. Heās always talking about how he learns so much about himself from these programs. You guys treat them like humans and they donāt get a lot of that in prison. As a sister to an inmate whoās only seen as a number. Thank you.

I had the privilege of traveling to a correctional facility to take a class alongside prisoners for an entire semester. It was extremely eye opening and rewarding to be a part of. We brought pizza, soda, and ice cream for the whole class on the last day of class. Iām also happy to say that a lot of those who were incarcerated did not get to finish the class with us because they got out on parole during it! :)

I so wish i could see the people who volunteered at the jail i was in...let them know i got 11 YEARS SOBER and went on to make business's that are very successful, and had 3 babies. That strung out girl is now a badass. I heard you š„ŗ And i listened to

i spent 20 days in jail. the reentry/mental health advocates saved my life. i have never been in any trouble EVER, went from a clean record to a class b felony(was class a). most people arent what their conviction is but an average person wouldn't understand

as someone who is a professor and lecturers at a menās lifer yard in prison, it truly is such a rewarding experience to be a part of š¤ they are some of the most determined and engaging students iāve ever met.

I graduate with a dual bachelors in criminal justice and psychology next spring. One of the careers Iād like to do is working in the jails to help with rehabilitation.

i work with the kids who are in a facility and i remind myself at the end of the day they are just kids who were handed different cards and maybe some wonāt make it out the system but there still someoneās baby, there still kids and they deserve to have someone be there for and show them things can change
