Yes we have thunderstorms in Europe, but they’re just normal rain and thunder, not these gigantic Ohio-sized land hurricanes that you can see coming from a hundred miles away. When thunderstorms came through Kansas City last week it looked like the end of the world. The *air* changed color. There weren’t individual thunderclaps, it was just continuous non-stop booming for like four hours. It sounded like an artillery barrage.

Such trauma from American storms and tornadoes that when I went to the UK I saw dark clouds and immediately went into panic mode and got all anxious only for it to just rain. No thunder no nothing. Just rain. Not even wind

It is unnerving but they do fly above them and when you look down through the cotton clouds it’s so beautiful with the flashing lightning. I was concerned my first time lol

I live in VA and it’s so easy to tell when it’s going to rain or storm. The leaves turn up and the air smells like rain before it even rains and since I live in the woods all the animals disappear when it’s going to storm
