فَلَوْ مَنَنْتُمْ عَلَى طَرْفِي بِرُؤْيَتِكُمْ لَكَانَ أَحْسَنَ شَيْءٍ مِنْكُمُ وَقْعًا لَا تَحْسَبُوا أَنَّنِي بِالْغَيْرِ مُنْشَغِلٌ إِنَّ الْفُؤَادَ لِحُبِّ الْغَيْرِ مَا وَسِعَا _ يخاطب الشاعر محبوبه بلغةٍ يغلب عليها الشوق والتعلّق، فيقول: «فَلَوْ مَنَنْتُمْ عَلَى طَرْفِي بِرُؤْيَتِكُمْ» أي: لو تفضّلتم عليَّ بمجرد رؤيتكم، ولو لمحةً قصيرة تقع عليها عيناي. «لَكَانَ أَحْسَنَ شَيْءٍ مِنْكُمُ وَقْعًا» فإن هذه الرؤية ستكون أعظم هدية وأجمل أثر يصل إليَّ منكم. ثم يؤكد إخلاصه في الحب قائلاً: «لَا تَحْسَبُوا أَنَّنِي بِالْغَيْرِ مُنْشَغِلٌ» لا تظنوا أن قلبي أو فكري قد انصرف إلى شخصٍ سواكم. «إِنَّ الْفُؤَادَ لِحُبِّ الْغَيْرِ مَا وَسِعَا» فقلبي ممتلئ بحبكم إلى درجةٍ لا يجد فيها متسعًا لحب أحدٍ غيركم. الفكرة العامة: القصيدة تعبّر عن حبٍّ صادقٍ وعميق، يرى فيه الشاعر أن مجرد رؤية المحبوب نعمة كبرى، ويؤكد أن قلبه مخلص لا يتسع لسواه. ⸻ English Explanation The poet addresses the beloved with deep longing and devotion. “If you would grant my eyes the favor of seeing you,” meaning: if the beloved would allow him even a brief glimpse. “It would be the most delightful gift and the sweetest thing from you.” For the poet, simply seeing the beloved is worth more than any other favor.
